Hongin Rokuchoshi

Freshly distilled shochu contains residual oil and some of the flavor from the rice. The floating oil is scooped out and the shochu filtered before being bottled, and during almost all Kuma shochu production shochu is matured before bottling. The maturing process refines the shochu, giving it a mellow, smooth taste. Hongin Rokuchoshi is a blend of shochu that has been aged in an enamel tank for more than seven years. It has a rich, powerful flavor with a hint of vanilla. Try it on the rocks, with water, with hot water, or any other way you like, to compare the different flavors that come from a single bottle of shochu.
